Casa de Mate

Located at Las Pocitas area in Mancora, Casa de Mate is a rustic (28year old) fully equipped two floor ocean front property, with a great outdoor space surrounded by palm trees including a new deck and infinite pool facing the ocean. We are currently updating some features of the house so more upgrades are coming.

Rate includes a maid and a handy man to help with all the organization of the house including shopping logistics, among others. Additional help on request (additional fees may apply).

First 50% of prepayment is non-refundable but can be used in another date during the following 12 months & during low season. If more time is needed, it can be revised.

Dining Recommendations: In las Pocitas area, they are several hotels that offer great food, one of my favorites is Hotel Kichic (great food and bar), Hotel Las Arennas (for happy hours), Los Corales (great ceviche). Mancora town (3kms north) also have some good options including La Sirena

Activities:

Casa de Mate is in front of the beach, depending on tide and sand cycles, the ocean is 10-30 meters from the house. Natural pools “pocitas” (reef) are almost in front of the house.
Great place for snorkeling, SUP, kayak, kite surfing, spearfishing, beach fishing or trolling, or just relax on the deck/pool or on the sand. Between June-Oct is very common to see whales in front of the house.
North of Peru is famous for surfing, great surf spots for all levels are nearby including but not limited:
Mancora and Punta Ballenas (10min drive)
Organos/La Vuelta (20min drive)
El Nuro
Cabo Blanco and Panic Point one of the best barrels in Peru (35min drive)
Talara (Malpaso, Lobitos, El Hueco, Piscinas) 1 hour drive
