Modernist Oasis

Modernist Oasis is located in the beautiful North End of Virginia Beach, and has 2 separate homes for your family and a private heated pool.

This upscale property offers all the bells and whistles for your family. Both of these gorgeous homes have been recently renovated with light and airy open floor plans. Modernist Oasis has a private enclosed front yard with a heated pool and off-street parking. It is a short drive to the interstate and resort area, and just a few steps to the beach.

Dining Recommendations:

Pacifica – Casual tapas near the Cavalier; grab a drink on the lawn of the Cavalier one evening and walk over to Pacifica.
Three Ships Coffee – Best coffee at the beach on 19th
Atlantic on Pacific – Great new place near 31st, dinner, seafood, we usually do takeout.
Isle of Capri – Old school Italian restaurant roof of Holiday Inn, great views and great Ceasar salads
Orion’s Rooftop – Top of the new Marriott. Asian fusion and the best views at the beach
Gringo’s – Small California-style Mexican (great for takeout)
Taste Unlimited – Sandwiches, salads and will deliver lunch to the dunes in the summer
Green Cat – Healthy breakfast, lunch, smoothies
The Shellfish Co. – On Shore Drive, along with all the other seafood restaurants on the bay, is a seafood market with fresh fish & shellfish to cook at home; you can also sit outside on the back deck, overlooking the water while they steam your takeout.
Bite of Maine – Only open Thursday-Sunday, yummy lobster rolls (they drive to Maine every week and pick up fresh lobster), take-out only, no delivery
Pelon’s – Mexican, not as good as Gringo’s but very close to the house for pick up
La Pizzeria – NY-style pizza, delivery only, cash or check (no credit cards)
Porch on Long Creek – Dinner, seafood, nice, on the water
Chics Oyster Bar – Huge menu, right on the water, dockside
Terrapins – I think this is the best restaurant at the beach. Not inexpensive and not on the water, but they do have a lovely shaded patio.
Graze Cafe – Close (67th Street at the ARE) and healthy.
Grocery stores – Harris Teeter is closest (10 Minutes), also a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s at Hilltop (20 minutes). Harris Teeter and Whole Foods offer delivery.
Private Chefs – Relax; you’re on vacation. Have someone cook for your whole group while lying by the pool.

Activities:

Renting paddleboards or kayaks is an excellent option for the beach or First Landing State Park. They will deliver it to the house and pick up when finished. https://tulasports.com/rentals/
The Adventure Park is also something cool to do any time, but nights are great. https://myadventurepark.com/location/virginia-beach-va/
Great hiking, biking, or running through First Landing State Park, entrance at 64th street. Try some of the less populated hikes, like Long Creek Trail.
The Edgar Cayce center on 67th street has a spa and is within walking distance. The vibe is a bit new age, but the massages are fantastic.
