Our guest suite is located in a very desirable neighborhood of the town of Oberaegeri within the canton of Zug, Switzerland. The Aegeri Valley with its beautiful lake and surrounding foothills is one of the top locations of Switzerland to reside, featuring an international community of residents. The canton of Zug is the most innovative and entrepreneurial place within Switzerland attracting international business and residents on account of its favorable location, infrastructure and business/investment friendly climate. Oberaegeri is centrally nestled within the foothills of the Alps between Zurich and Luzern, making it an ideal place from which to explore the surrounding region.

Oberaegeri, at an elevation of 735 meters, is the jewel of the canton, with its lake, rolling hills and many recreational opportunities. Being located 310 meters above the lower mainland, winters feature blue skies and snow, while the lowlands are often shrouded in fog. Summers are warm to hot and evenings are pleasantly temperate and enjoyable.

Our guest suite, located on the garden level of our lovely chalet, featuring six separate suites is right next door to our own suite, and is an elegant, well-appointed, bright apartment in an incredible location offering a panoramic view of the lake and the mountains beyond.

All rooms within the suite feature in-floor heated marble floors, along with accenting marble counter tops in the kitchen.

For the hot days of summer, the suite is air conditioned, which is a rare feature to find in this region. All glazing units feature outside blinds and there is a mechanical retractable awning over part of the large terrace and garden.

If you wish to engage in fitness training, you can either hike up the hill and into the woods right from our place, or can use our free weights and TRX, etc. outside in the summer or inside in a basement gym room when colder. You are also welcome to join us at the nearby gym, which also features indoor tennis courts and wellness, or take a swim in the lake.

This suite has the location and the amenities that make it a perfect place from which to explore Switzerland. Dependable and frequent public transportation, connecting you to the town of Zug and the direct train the Zurich Airport, is only a six-minute walk from your suite. Simply an incredible location in the scenic foothills of the Alps!

The lake, with its beach, park and recreation is also reachable within a six-minute walk and features both swimming and water recreation activities, such as rowing, sailing, paddle boarding and water skiing. You can also have access to our private waterfront area. There are outside tennis courts at the lake as well as an indoor water recreation facility with pools, water slide, hot tubs and wellness.

What makes a rental of this suite truly special, is that you can connect with the YPO host couple, who love having visitors and will not only show you the region and give you excellent suggestions of places to see, activities and restaurants, museums, etc. to visit, however, if you wish you can also engage with them in activities, such as boating on the lake, hiking, scrambling and climbing in the mountains and foothills. Andy is an avid mountaineer and guide for the Canadian and Swiss Alpine Clubs and can take you on an adventure based on your own abilities and preferences.

Diana is an artist, both on cavass and digital, as well as a photographer and bespoke rug designer and would be delighted to share her passion with you. If you like to try your hand at painting or digital art and photography, you have come to the right place.

Andy & Diana can also share with you the ins and outs of Switzerland and give you high-value introductions to both business and personal connections in the region.

We believe that you will truly enjoy staying with us, sitting together on the lovely and scenic terrace and garden with a cool drink, soaking up the sun and enjoying all that this region has to offer.

Eierhals for excellent fish right from the lake (6 minite drive along the lake), Hirschen for excellent meat dishes (5 minute walk) Roessli (traditional Swiss cuisine (5 minute walk), Restaurant Raten for high quality dining in a stunning view setting on the Raten Pass (12 Minute drive and a great place to hike).
